Get A Head Start

Jayhawk JumpStart is a freshman transition program that provides five full days of activities, workshops, and networking to help students adjust to college and prepare for their first day at KU.

Stay Connected

You have full access to a Hawk Link Coordinator who is cross-trained for student inquiries to support your educational journey from intake to on-going support.

Linking You to KU

Hawk Link assists students with navigating campus applications and processes, identifying campus resources, connecting you where you need to go and creating access to signature opportunities.

Participate in Hawk Link events, visit with a Hawk Link Coordinator, attend Jayhawk JumpStart, or engage on social media. There are many ways to get connected to Hawk Link, fill out the Hawk Link Interest form to get started or stop by our office (Summerfield 1st Floor, Suite 130, also known as the Hawk Link Nest)

Absolutely! KU offers several support programs that offer targeted support or a smaller campus community. Students should absolutely apply for programs that interest them including TRIO SES & STEM, Honors, Emerging Scholars, McNair Scholars and so many others. You are welcome to invite others to attend events with you. Some academic services and trips may be limited due to cost but unless stated, all events are open to all Jayhawks.

Hawk Link serves undergraduate and graduate students and we work to partner with Graduate Studies to offer events. 

Yes, Hawk Link does provide support to transfer students and student re-admitted to KU.
